Shwayze - Get U Home (Alan Wilkis Remix)
I've been a fan of Shwayze since I caught him and Cisco Alder at a show in early '07 in LA. This was also the first time I was able to see LMFAO live, but that's a story for another day. Back then it seemed like they were on the fast track to superstardome with a record deal at Interscope, an MTV reality show in the works, and a single just starting to hit radio. For some reason though, it just hasn't worked out on a major level for Shwayze. Yes, the single "Corona & Lime" hit #23 on the Billboard H0t 100, but that's not exactly breaking through. Also, you can assume that much of the radio play was aided by the MTV reality show that was airing at the some time the single was released.
Shwayze's newest single "Get U Home" is an absolute banger. Yet for some reason it seems to be struggling on the radio charts. It is not, however, struggling in the clubs. I believe it could have the same type of run as Kevin Rudolf's "Let It Rock" wherein it starts off heavy in the clubs and tranfers over to be a huge radio hit.
With it touching the clubs so heavy, there's been an abundance of remixes out there. LMFAO, their old friends from LA have one, Steve Aoki's Bloody Beatroots have one, and my favorite so far is from Brooklyn's Alan Wilkis. It takes the original rock n' roll vibe and beefs it up a bit and adds some electro components that really make it crazy for the club.

Nike has recently created the most incredible Jordan sneaker website of all time. The site puts you on a timeline from '85 to '09 with each page detailing the sneaker as well as highlights from MJ's career from that specific year. I'm not sure how long this site has been active, but shouts to my dude Deezie who just put my up on it.

Don Diablo - Never Too Late & Bonus Tracks
'Never Too Late' is the latest brainchild of Don Diablo, taken from his forthcoming album. The e.p. is set to be released digitally at the end of November, right before the release of the official new single and video of 'Where I belong'. The e.p. includes remixes by Jark Prongo, Deepgroove, Mason and others.
'Too Cool For Amsterdam Bitch' is a crazy bootleg by Hugo van Dyck based on Don Diablo's 'Too Cool For School', which proved to be quite the DJ weapon during the recent Amsterdam Dance Event, where it spread like wildfire among many of the world's biggest DJs and became one of the festival's biggest tunes. As a result, Don Diablo has now asked Hugo van Dyck to do an official remix of his forthcoming dancefloor smash 'I am not from France'.

Video: DJ Roc Raida Tribute in NYC
Last night I had the pleasure to attend the Grandmaster DJ Roc Raida Tribute and Benefit at B.B. Kings and watch the world's greatest DJs rock the turntables. This was not a night of party rockin'. It was the best of the best paying tribute to their lost brother in the only way fitting, by smashing down battle routine after battle routine.
It was an amazing night that showed love to not only one of the greatest DJs of all time, but also one of the best people I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Below are some of the highlights.
